I love this desk! The desk arrived in perfect condition, and was very easy to put together. Assembly can be done by one person for the most part, with very minimal assistance from another person needed to attach the lower shelf and then turn the desk over into the upright position after it is put together. The wood is beautiful and solid. It is as advertised. I am 5'3" and the desk fits me perfectly...I could see though that it may not be the right selection for a bigger/taller person as there is not much leg room even for me!!! The only other thing that I noticed is that when the drawer face is is opened downward to use the space for a computer keyboard, it extends out from the desk the size of the drawer face with no support. While the metal hinges do look quite solid, I was concerned that over time, the drawer face could break because of pressure being put on it... so for this reason, I decided to use the drawer as a drawer and put my keyboard and mouse on top of the desk. If using the space for a keyboard, it will fit the keyboard only and the mouse would still need to go on top of the desk because there is not enough room for a mouse pad next to it.. On the desktop, there is plenty of room for my large monitor, two speakers, a wireless phone with a base, the keyboard and mouse pad plus room to spare! I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend it!
